The second release of Foodware 365 for Business Central - SaaS

We are heading into the final weeks until the summer break for project team Texel. The final touches are being made to Foodware 365 apps and the second release of the next generation of Foodware 365 for Business Central – SaaS. At the end of the first release, we proudly delivered 6 apps. However, we raised the bar and now managed to introduce 11 more apps to Foodware 365 collection. The team has fully dedicated itself to translate customer challenges into process-oriented solutions with an absolute full utilization of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform. We have a bit more than one week to go and we have achieved the second milestone in the Texel journey, the delivery of Wave 2 followed by a well-deserved summer break.

Quality Check app

As mentioned before, at release 1, we focus on utilizing the entire Dynamics 365 platform. With this new delivery, we clearly show the added value of this. With our brand new Quality Check app, we show the true potential for Microsoft PowerApps. Clear screens, structured processes, all are running on an existing and continuously developing platform. The technique of Microsoft and our industry expertise come together in this powerful solution, giving the user an intuitive experience in combination with the user-friendliness of a tablet.

Non Conformances app

Another great example is our new Non Conformances app for the registration and follow-up of complaints. Through the integration of Microsoft Teams and Planner, we provide the user with a digital environment that assists him with his daily tasks. The power of Teams ensures all the relevant data and colleagues come together in one place, from there, Microsoft Planner formulates a list of tasks to be completed and shows a clear to-do list. The tasks from Foodware 365 will be shown in a list with a standard to-do list in Outlook: one consistent and user-friendly environment for the end user.

Technical possibilities of the 365 platform

These are just two visible examples for the end user. However, on the technical side, we also fully utilize the platform. The set up of Common Data Services to efficiently store data, the usage of Azure functionalities to handle processes correctly, and the powerful cloud technology that serves as the solid foundation upon which we can continuously build and develop the Foodware 365 platform.

A valuable Foodware 365

By using the already existing elements of the Dynamics 365 platform, we can direct more of our focus towards adding a valuable application for the end users of Foodware 365. With 11 new apps full of important functionalities, the team has again put up a great performance. For the sake of completeness, this is the complete list of Wave 2; Audit Trail, Sublot Management, Non Conformances, Shop Floor Production, Quality Check, Lot Management Dashboard, Production Planning, Production Batch Sizes, Production Preparation & Scheduling, Production Scenarios & Shop Floor Logistics.

The result after two releases: 17 apps jam-packed with Food. 17 Apps running on the latest technology. 17 Foodware 365 apps: The Foremost Food Solution. The next release is planned for October 2019. We’re excited!
